“Life is a journey, not a destination...the citizens of the Commonwealth should be afforded the opportunity to enjoy the journey!”
- Malcolm Jones
When I retired from the Air Force in 2004, I would have never guessed our country would be where it is today politically. If you would have told me that we would be where we are, I would have laughed in your face, and probably had a few "choice words" for you. Yet, here we are...in what seems to be a political downward spiral!
This fact was prevalent in my decision to run for the KY Senate, District-14 seat. I've supported political campaigns and social activism in one way or another most of my adult life, but I've never run for public office myself. After becoming very frustrated with the status quo of America's political climate in late 2025, I asked myself "what more can you do?"...much to my surprise, my inner-spirit spoke to me saying, "Run for Public Office...effect change from the inside".
After much prayer and consultation with family and trusted friends, I listened to my inner-spirit. I commited to roll up my sleeves and get directly involved in the political process! My military and corporate work history has afforded the opportunity to build solid business acumen, strategic thinking, operational readiness, and strong leadership skills. Further, I have a passion for service to others. Given the opportunity, I promise to be a voice for the people of the 14th District, a protector of our citizen rights and privileges, a problem solver, and most of all a servant leader.
